    • There are two other zinc ions involved in twofold symmetric interactions, with one coordinated to Glu57 in chain A (and its symmetry-related partner) and the other to Glu4 (and its symmetry-related partner). These zinc ions are not observed in the second cage-like structure (Zn30:CFMC-112 containing MP9cb562). Judging from this observation, and the limited amount of interactions that they are involved in, these zinc ions are deemed not critical for the formation of the cage.
