The heat of molecule adsorbed on the junction due to the enhanced EM field transfers to the Ag nanoparticles quickly.28,29 Indeed, intensity ratios of anti-Stokes to Stokes SERS peaks have been estimated not by Boltzmann distribution at high temperature but by selective enhancement of SERS peaks that are close to the plasmon resonance band.30
