    • A very recent example suggests that fluorescence-up probes can be obtained when TO is attached to an acyclic DNA-monomer via at the benzothiazole ring by means of a flexible linker. The flexibility of the linkage also allowed for minor groove interaction of TO, which was prevented at high salt concentrations.
