    • Hypothermia treatment for traumatic brain •• injury: A systematic review and meta-analysis
    • This most recent meta-analysis proceeded with a cautious approach concerning influence of variability in between-groups comparability and conducted final metaanalyses based only on the eight trials n = 806 with comparable groups. These trials revealed a 20% reduction in mortality relative to conventional therapy and a 25% increased incidence of a good neurological outcome, but none of these effects was found to be statistically significant. In subgroup analyses, variations in cooling duration, ICP management strategy, and trial duration were found to have significant influences on risk of mortality
