    • The recovered trivalent catalyst 12 was reused in the Heck coupling reaction. A 68% product formation was observed with the recovered catalyst, as opposed to 73% product formation when using the fresh catalyst. The catalyst activity could be retained by more than 90% that of the fresh catalyst, implying that the catalyst did not deactivate after the first cycle of the reaction.
