    • Identification of loci associated with schizophrenia by genome-wide association and follow-up
    • Using a GWAs design and follow-up in 6829 cases and 9897 controls, the authors obtain support for three loci the best supported of which was in the vicinity of a putative transcription regulator (zinc finger protein 804A or ZNF804A). This study establishes the principle that relatively common risk alleles for schizophrenia exist notwithstanding the low fecundity seen in this disorder.
