Lucas D, Battista M, Shi PA, et al. Mobilized hematopoietic stem cell yield depends on species-specific circadian timing. Cell Stem Cell 2008; 3:364-366. This study extends previous observations by the same group on the human system, showing that circulating hematopoietic progenitors also follow circadian fluctuations that are inverted, compared with the mouse, and preserved during G-CSF or AMD3100-induced mobilization.
