Acupuncture for persistent allergic rhinitis: A randomised, sham-controlled trial
-
This RCT is one of the most well conducted studies evaluating acupuncture for allergic rhinitis. Total symptom score and rhinorrhea symptom score were significantly improved by the use of acupuncture (versus sham), but other individual symptom scores and rescue medication use with conventional therapies were not statically affected. This study highlights the difficulties in interpreting conflicting results
