Usefulness of the triglyceride-highdensity lipoprotein versus the cholesterol-high-density lipoprotein ratio for predicting insulin resistance and cardiometabolic risk (from the Framingham Offspring Cohort)
-
A recent Framingham study investigation of the predictive utility of blood lipids and their ratios (including total/HDL-C) for detecting insulin resistance and predicting its CHD hazard, which challenges the notion that triglyceride/ HDL ratio is a superior indicator of insulin resistance and its CHD consequences
