Contact lens wear affects tear film evaporation

Increased tear evaporation rates occur in eyes wearing contact lenses than eyes of contact lens wearers without lenses and eyes of nonwearers. Relative humidity changes affect these rates and these results may implicate increased evaporation as a contributing factor in dry eye experienced by contact lens wearers
