16. 3P (419.7 mg, 1.6 mmol) at -78 °C, the reaction mixture was warmed slowly to room temperature and was stirred at room temperature for 3 h. The reaction mixture was concentrated to give the crude residue. To a solution of the crude residue in MeOH (6 mL) was added DABCO (44.8 mg, 0.4 mmol) and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 8 h. The reaction mixture was concentrated to give the crude residue which was purified by silica gel column chromatography to give the carbonate 12c-syn (354.5 mg, 1.50 mmol) and 12c-anti (70.9 mg, 0.30 mmol) in 88% yield.
