17. The sponge was collected manually (SCUBA) at a depth of 3-6 m from Vietnamese waters, Cu Lao Re Island, in October 1987 during the 5th scientific cruise of R/V 'Academik Oparin'. The sponge was freeze-dried and stored at -20 °C until used. Taxonomic identification was provided by Vladimir Krasokhin (PIBOC). A voucher specimen (05-86) is currently on deposit at PIBOC.
