Neuregulin-1 induces a negative inotropic effect in cardiac muscle: role of nitric oxide synthase
-
This paper shows a direct effect of NRG-1 on contractility of adult cardiac muscle. It also concluded that the inotropic effect of NRG-1 was preserved during adrenergic stimulation and desensitized the myocardium to isoproterenol.
