    • while the number of molecules consisting of the overall particle depends on the hydrophobic driving force to form the particle. As the previous paper (T. Sato, K. Sakurai, T. Norisuye, H. Fujita, Polym. J. 1983, 15, 87) described, Rh increases with increasing the concentration and/or water content. The increased Rh can be described to increased number of the chains in one particle. Polynucleotides are highly soluble, and thus, when they are incorporated into the particle as a complex, they should increase the solubility of the particle, which decreases Rh. Of course, this is speculation, and experimental evidence is need

The complex of SPG-Am increased the cellular uptake in vitro and thus increased antisense effect K. Koumoto, T. Kimura, M. Mizu, K. Sakurai, S. Shinkai, Chem. Commun. 2001, 1962;
