    • It can not be completely excluded at this stage that some emission lines with a measurable Pc originate from neutral excitons with an anisotropic exchange splitting energy δ1 of only a few microelectron volts. A measurable Pc can be obtained for neutral excitons if the beat period h/ δ1 between angular-momentum projections Jz =+1 and -1 is longer than the radiative lifetime τrad. We have measured τrad 400ps in this sample, so for a splitting smaller than h/ τrad 10μeV already a measurable Pc is expected. A detailed investigation of the electronic states will be published elsewhere.

    • Due to the low signal-to-noise ratio for the short signal integration time no useful data could be extracted when switching between linearly polarized and circularly polarized excitations.
