    • Southern Underwater Research Group, Cape Town. Sophie von der Heyden is currently a postdoctoral fellow with a strong interest in the phylogeny and phylogeography of southern African marine organisms. She is especially interested in how reproductive strategies and oceanography interplay to shape the population genetic structure of intertidal species. Kim Prochazka currently oversees fisheries-related research and has an enduring interest in fish ecology and the ecology of rocky shores. Rauri Bowie is an assistant professor in the Department of Integrative Biology and Curator of Birds at the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology at the University of California-Berkeley. His interests include biogeography, systematics and speciation processes in birds and marine organisms, with a particular emphasis on African taxa.
