We have found that the contribution to d EE /dP in InGaAs/GaAs QWs arising from the nonlinear composition dependence of Cij is significantly smaller than the contribution originating from third-order elasticity. Nevertheless, further studies of the composition dependence of the Cij and Cijk elastic constants and the deformation potentials in InGaAs and InGaN alloys are desirable.
