    • We calculated the Mulliken charges of the ligands 4-TIP iPr and 4-TIPOiPr on an AM1 level. We chose the structure of the ligand 4-TIPiPr from the crystal structure of, 4-TIPiPr)ZnCl]Cl [8c] and used this structure also as geometry for the calculations on 4-TIPOiPr. Upon oxidation the average Mulliken charge on the imine N atoms decreased from -0.067 (4-TIPiPr) to -0.028 4-TIPOiPr
