The rate constant k-16b for the Craq 2+/NO reaction is greater30 than k-16a for the Craq2+/O2 reaction. The dissociation (reaction 16a) is quite favorable for CraqOO2, but reaction 16b is too slow to observe for CraqNO2, Thus, the ratio k-16/k16, K 16-1 must be much greater for CraqNO 2+ than for CraqOO2, even though the precise value of K16b-1 is not known
