Genetic evidence for host specificity in the hemi-parasitic Viscum album L. (Viscaceae)
-
This study formed part of the PhD research of Chris Thorogood. His research interests are in the reproductive biology, population genetics, evolution, and taxonomy of parasitic plants, particularly Orobanchaceae. Simon Hiscock has research interests in plant genetics, plant reproductive biology and mating systems, and plant speciation involving hybridization and polyploidy. Stephen Harris's research focuses on the use of molecular markers in evolutionary and conservation biology, the evolutionary consequences of human-mediated plant movement, and the conservation genetics of widespread species. Fred Rumsey's research focuses on the taxonomy and conservation of the British and European floras, particularly Pteridophytes and Bryophytes, and angiosperm groups, such as Orobanchaceae and Orchidaceae.
