By using these terms we merely follow the terminology established in the literature presenting TTM calculations, when the term lattice temperature is commonly used to refer to the temperature of the ionic subsystem that can be brought out of equilibrium with the conduction-band electrons by short pulse irradiation or high-energy ion bombardment.
