Angell are currently demonstrating the generation of a phase diagram with features close to those of Figure 6, obtained for a system in which a Lennard-Jones sphere is systematically distorted to create a rod-like atom. A wide region about the eutectic is a computer glass-former, with interesting liquid-state properties.
