It must be remembered that the interpolating Hamiltonian used in this work is a matter of choice. It would be possible, for instance, to interpolate between the BEG and BL Hamiltonians by considering an extended hydrogen bond interaction of the kind ghb =- hb [PLDL (Sa, Sb, Sc) + (1-λ) PULDL (Sa, Sb, Sc)], with PLDL and PULDL being the probability of finding the triangle's configuration in a low-density liquid state and in an unbonded low-density liquid state, described in Table 1.
