Based on an extensive literature review the following coefficients were used to calculate farm emissions: the apparent digestibility coefficients (ADC) used were 90% for protein, 95% for fat, 60% for carbohydrates and 50% for ash. The ADCs for P were 50% for the HF and HFBP and 65% for the LF and NF feeds. Retained N was set at 16 g per kg of body weight gain and P at 0.45 g per kg of body weight gain.
