This paper describes a novel MRI analysis technique to assess abnormalities in neocortical thickness, as a follow up to Ref. [18], which addressed hippocampal abnormalities in patients with mesial temporal lobe epilepsy. If this technique identifies structural characteristics that predict pharmacoresistance and postoperative outcome, it would be important for identifying candidates for surgical therapy.
