"Morality in Science: How Research Is Evaluated in the Age of Human Subjects Regulation." Ph.D. dissertation, Department of Sociology, Princeton University. Laura Stark is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Sociology and Program in Science in Human Culture at Northwestern University. She is completing a book manuscript based on her archival and ethnographic research on ethics review. It examines how the state and professions have fought for moral oversight of research in the social sciences and medicine since 1950.
