They are symmetrical bis-monodentate (a) and tridentate asymmetric (b). For the monodentate bonds the Ln-O(carboxylate) distances fall within typical ranges (2.357-2.604 Å (1), 2.323-2.377 Å (2), 2.327-2.366 Å (3), 2.297-2.352 Å (4), 2.334-2.388 Å (5), and 2.329-2.382 Å (6)). For the tridentate bonding mode b the longer Ln-O distances range from 2.715-3.050 Å
