Assortative mating in two pheromone strains of the cabbage looper moth, Trichoplusia ni
-
This study was part of Amanda D. Roe's PhD thesis research conducted at the University of Alberta, which focused on the population genetics and systematics of coneworm moths (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae: Dioryctria). She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Minnesota working on a National Science Foundation Assembling the Tree of Life Lepidoptera project. She is developing an international network of collaborators to tackle problems in Lepidoptera structural homologies, and is continuing to explore patterns of speciation and population genetics in Lepidoptera F. Sperling is a professor at the University of Alberta, and projects in his lab ranging from the diversification of major insect lineages to the formation of species boundaries.
