The interslab translation in species 2 is 12.84 Å(c/3, Nevertheless, to draw a more realistic picture of the [DAMS, cations packing within the slabs, the van der Waals radii of the atoms reasonably involved in the layer-[DAMS+]⋯layer interactions must be taken into consideration. Considering the negative charges mainly localized on the iodine atoms and the positive ones on the methylated heterocyclic nitrogen atoms, I(δ-)⋯(δ+)H-C-N-C- H(δ+)⋯(δ-)I interactions would develop between adjacent layers.
