We have additionally evaluated the scope of boronic acid diversity in a series of couplings involving 3-cyano-4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-5,6,7,8- tetrahydroquinoline2(1H)-thione (Table 1, entry 4) and have confirmed that satisfactory yields of cross-coupling products were obtained for a range of diverse arylboronic acids (see the Supporting Information for details).
