Cytoplasmic and nuclear markers reveal contrasting patterns of spatial genetic structure in a natural Ipomopsis hybrid zone
-
This study is part of Aria Minder's and Carmen Rothenbuehler's PhD research on hybridization, introgression and the maintenance of species boundaries between Silene latifolia and Silene dioica. Alex Widmer is associate professor of Plant Ecological Genetics at ETH Zurich and is interested in the genetics of adaptation, reproductive isolation, speciation and genome evolution.
