    • A part of chitosan precipitated and did not take in the reaction due to the exclusion from acoustic field, therefore, Au particles were not loaded on this part but such precipitated matter (remained white color) were easily removed from Au loading fine chitosan by decantation.

    • 4 is very low compared with the amount of chitosan powder so that the dissolution of chitosan in water would be very small. Accordingly, it was suggested that the effect of the dissolved chitosan on the stabilization of the formed Au nanoparticles would be negligible.
