    • It should be noted that even in the present, relatively simple, system while XPS can be used for accurate determination of the C:F ratio, determination of different chemical species (i.e, CF versus CCF) requires fitting of the spectra as described in the text. The presence of multiple overlapping peaks potentially fitted makes quantification somewhat difficult. It is for this reason that XPS can be used for determination of the C:F ratio for comparison with Raman and NMR
