    • Owing to computer time and memory constraints, a film thickness of 1 μm was assumed for both the fresh and degraded films whereas the experimental films were 1.6 and 3 μm thick, respectively. This difference in thickness of the simulated and experimental films is one reason why the region of sigmoidal decay is shorter for the simulation of the fresh film than the experiment. In a thicker film, the carriers arrive at the counter electrode over a broader time distribution leading to a longer decay in the transient.
