    • The effect the various types of organic templates have on the band gap may be understood in terms of variations in the chemical composition of the inorganic framework as a function of the surfactant chain length. In other words, the inorganic framework seems to adjust slightly its composition to respond to the changing micellar rod diameter, according to the demands imposed by the double point (2-WR) and triple point (3-WR) regions discussed in ref 3b.
