In both cases a biexponential decay with a minor component of a long-lived species was observed. Owing to concomitant excitation of both naphthalimide and perylene bisimide chromophores at 550 nm, this minor component can be attributed to the fluorescence of the simultaneously emitting perylene bisimide chromophore.
