Aerobic exercise training improves insulin sensitivity without changes in body weight, body fat, adiponectin and inflammatory markers in overweight and obese girls. Aerobic exercise training improved insulin sensitivity, as assessed by the OGTT, in these girls. This effect was without change in body fat and other factors that might influence insulin effect on glucose metabolism.
