63. Shiguochunqiu. This book is the only chronicle of the ten independent states mostly in south China during the Five Dynasties Period (907-960 AD). It totals 114 volumes. Although it is not the original historical resource of the histories of the ten states, it is based on a wide variety of now lost original historical materials. It was finished compiling in 1669 AD by a famous historian Rencheng Wu. A quality version was published in 1983 by the Zhonghua Shuju Press.
64. Xinwudaishi. This book is another official chronicle of the Five Dynasties (907-960 AD). It totals 74 volumes. The compilation was commenced at imperial request, and it was accomplished in 1053 AD. The chief compiler is Xiu Ouyang. A quality version was published in 1974 by the Zhonghua Shuju Press.
65. Zizhitongjian. This book is a chronicle of China from 403 BC to 959 AD laying emphasis on political history. The compilation was commenced at imperial request, and it was accomplished in 1084 AD. The chief compiler is Guang Sima. A quality version was published in 1963 by the Zhonghua Shuju Press.
