18. -5 M). After refluxing for 2 h, the nanocrystals were collected by centrifugation and dried under vacuum. The QDs were suspended in 1 mL purified water with the help of concentrated NaOH, precipitated with 10 mL acetone, and dried under vacuum. This last step was repeated twice followed by two cycles of precipitation/drying/dissolution in acetone/vacuum/water and filtration. All chemicals were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich at the highest purity available.
