    • Precipitation also removed a yellow-brown-colored component that remained in solution and had a visible emission under UV light when reactions were carried out with SWNTs from CSI. Based on (a), this component may comprise carbonaceous nanoparticles derived from the SWNTs.     • The SWNTs from CSI that were used in this work (batch no. 03-101 a and 03-102) are earlier versions of their current product P3-SWNT. Although the level of purity of P3-SWNT is higher, the chemistry is very similar (Dr. Mikhail Itkis, personal communication).
