    • Briefly, the heuristic can be expressed as (i) specify or randomly choose seed metabolites, (ii) allom metabolites to react according to KEGG reactions, and (iii) incorporate newly synthesized metabolites into seed set. Steps ii and iii are then iterated until convergence, when no further new reactions are possible.
