    • Human DHFR inhibition was assayed colorimetrically by following the nonenzymatic reduction of MTS (3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-5-[3- carboxymethoxyphenyl]-2-[4-sulfophenyl-2H-tetrazolium, inner salt), by tetrahydrofolate, to a soluble formazan. Methotraxate was used as a positive control in the assay.
