Arch Ophthalmol 2004, 122:159-166. In this study, six central maps were performed using Orbscan to determine the central 2-mm power of the cornea after myopic LASIK. In addition, the authors also looked at the anterior-posterior corneal curvature after LASIK. The central 2-mm power determined by Orbscan-II was thought to be a true representation of the corneal power. In addition, the anterior-posterior ratio was found to be not constant, as assumed in the Gullstrand model eye. The authors present this as a direct corneal power measurement regardless of the data before refractive surgery
