    • Unfortunately a further reminder of the potential hazards of handling this material on a large scale was demonstrated by a recent explosion at Lacamas Laboratories, Portland, Oregon, U.S.A., which was caused by 1-hydroxybenzotriazole. The incident took place on May 9, 2005.
