In the reaction of dimethyl thiourea with the tungsten monocarbene complex, (pentacarbonyl[ethoxy(phenyletynyl)carbene]) tungsten (0), minor amounts (less than 10%) of a cyclic product corresponding to the sulphur addition onto the triple bond were detected.
