    • 2CH-OH seems to be very low compared with that of ArzCH-Cl, although not stated accurately in the literature. Besides the difference in the excitation wavelength from our experiments, we also suspect that a biphotonic process might be involved in formation of diarylmethyl radicals in the laser photolysis. The two factors can mainly be responsible for our failure to observe 1H by (monophotonic) photolysis of 1H-OH in addition to the difference in reaction medium.
