    • Pyrene used in most of the previous studies is not suitable because the vibronic structure of fluorescence is affected significantly by the medium polarity and because the excimer emission bands which originate both from the ground-state associated dimers and from microcrystals occur at similar wavelengths and cannot be distinguished easily.
