    • The polymeric salen-Ti(IV) complexes (5/6=25/100), which is partly soluble in the reaction system, was employed and could be precipitated completely from the reaction mixture by the addition of hexane. It was very important that the recovered catalyst must be washed thoroughly with water, otherwise, obviously decreased conversion and ee value were observed. However, the catalyst 1 showed good solubility in hexane and could not be recovered efficiently
