The sample was mounted on a rotating sample stage allowing for Hall measurements with the field in plane or out of plane. This degree of freedom limits the ability to thermally couple the sample stage to the thermometer. Because the samples are cooled by immersion in a liquid-helium bath, the cooling rate at high temperatures may be too high to allow for thermal equilibrium between the sample and the thermometer.
