    • To observe an NMR echo using the usual sequence π/2-τ-π-, the length of the π/2 pulse is reduced if only the central transition is observed. Furthermore, while the length for τ should be exactly twice the π/2 one in the latter case, it can be reduced to half this value when all the transitions are observed, if the dephasing between the nuclear spins is dominated by a quadrupolar origin. In our case, the signal is optimized for the two main lines by the same length of π/2 and a shorter value for π.
